Do you have a Leaky Gut??

February 1, 2015

What is a Leaky Gut? – The gut lining is naturally permeable to nutrients from your food. It is very commonly weakened by chronic exposure to foods and medications that irritate your gut, or even more commonly when the healthy bacteria becomes out of balance.

What is the damage? – As damaging material crosses the gut lining, the body responds in defense mode and creates inflammation and antibodies.

Signs that you may have Leaky Gut Syndrome:

  • You experience gas, bloating, loose stools, or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

  • You suffer from seasonal allergies, skin rashes or eczema

  • You have an autoimmune condition.

  • You’re tired all the time and have troubles concentrating or with memory.

  • You struggle with anxiety, depression, or mood instability.

  • You have a yeast overgrowth in the body.

  • You have an inability to lose weight.

  • You suffer from inflammation – sore joints and muscles.

What can you do to heal?

  • Book an appointment!! It is important to have individualized care since the cause is different for everyone!

  • Remove irritating foods – wheat, dairy, soy, corn, caffeine, alcohol, sugars

  • Heal the gut lining with a high dose probiotic (no lower than 10 billion CFU), Amino-L-Glutamine and gastro calming herbs.

Book now to find out if this is affecting you!
